A few minutes early I know (well for the Eastern Standard Timezone), but I am on vacation and didn't want to miss posting this thing. ;)

What is Taco Day?
Taco day is the day made exactly one year ago in TheHelper chatroom to Commemorate TheHelper ranted in TH Chat room for 4 hours wishing he had tacos! (While talking about how hot Conan's Mom was, and how his mom was good at making Tacos...)

How do we celebrate it?
Simple really, you eat or gorge on tacos, traditional tacos to be exact. No; Taco Bell, Jack in the Box or any other fast food restaurants here! You have to go big or don't go at all... (Well if that's all you can get, close enough.)
Many members also commemorate this day by spending an unusual amount of time in the chatroom hoping His Helperness, The Helper, will make an appearance.

Salsa and other foods associated with Latin American countries can also be enjoyed on this day.

Enjoy another year of epiciness TheHelper and happy Taco Day one and all.

My comments on the banner - Hmm, I know intermediate spanish but for some reason I am stuck between De and Del for the banner. Whatever, you guys can get over that.

I don't believe that The Helper once ranted 4 hours for taco...If it were me, I couldn't stand it for 30 minutes flat!

Then again, I don't remember seeing The Helper having unusual occasions. Please, I want to see more of The Helper's special events!! We need more of these, so that the community won't be full of dull, everyday moments.

If possible, Miz or any mods, is there a list of these special events?

I remember being on the chat and thehelper ranting about tacos, but it wasn't a year ago. I guess he does it a lot. In any case, real tacos are easy for me to get, I live in San Antonio! :D

1 year ago was the first. I added it all to the calender while the discussion was happening. It was like 10 at night and TH decided he wanted tacos. :D

I refuse to believe that not only are we letting this stupidity continue, that it's because of the staff that it was brought back up -.-

It's not stupidity. Sometimes, we have to let go ourselves and at least enjoy 1 day in a whole year. It's not like we should have all 365 days of being normal.

I refuse to believe that this is a stupidity event.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
