Dear All,
My PC is acting up. Last time I used it, it was running just fine. But now, each time I started it, the monitor said "NO SIGNAL". It haven't even go to BIOS. The power supply's working, the fans are working, so did the harddisk and the dvd drive.
Here is what I've been trying so...
I found where an what ate up my disk space. It was:
Windows>SoftwareDistribution>Download
I cleared them and gain almost 400Mb.
I suppose when I going internet, those files sneak in without any notofication (Funny, coz I never install/copy them).
I guess I have to clear them every now and...
The XP itself took 1.39Gb. Then 10Mb here and 5Mb there, don't know which ones are safe to delete. The common files (speech engine, microsoft shared, system; is it okay to loose them?) used up 109Mb.
Is it normal for almost empty XP to use 1.39Gb?
ps: I use 8Gb SDHC on the card reader and I...
Dear All,
I have the 2G EeePC, with only 2Gb disk space. I install nothing fancy, just good old XP, AVG anti virus, and some drivers needed by the laptop.
At the beginning, all of those "just" cost me over 1.5Gb disk space. Then it grew up everyday. And now I have less than 50Mb, and it...
Wow. I though nobody will reply.
Yeah, well, I got those codes from the net, but only [shift]+[alt]+$ and [shift]+[alt]+b that works, each for $5K money and unlocking map. Other than that...pfff...
Do you try all the above? And they work on you?
From your test result, my first suspicion's poven to be wrong. But that's okay, coz that's why we need the test.
Now, when you test it (powering your laptop by holding down the power button), did you notice a certain period where your laptop goes on then off (for example it turned on for...
Yeah. I meant for you to test it. I'm betting each time you release the button, your laptop will turn off. The test is just to make sure that it was not a system screwups. If the system does run normally, then you need to get your laptop to a repair station and have them clean it up or change...
It is the power button that gone bad. The power led didn't go off immediatelly because the power capasitor still have some juice to power the led. I bet if you keep on holding down the power button your laptop would still function normally. Just give it a test.
Maybe it is not a good idea using one drive with two computers. You can't determine which one is master and which one is slave.
Anyway, what happen if you don't share the drive? Does each computers run normally? If they do, then it is obviously a hardware conflict. Try to look at it from your...
