Yea I just built my first one a couple days ago. Its alot easier than you'd think. Just make sure you install the stuff in the right order or you'll have to take things back out just to reach certain areas. Like the back panel to the case, put that in before the mobo. lol I had to take back out he mobo just to put it on.
Once you get it all working and turn it on hold down the delete key and in the BIOS make sure that it boots from disk. Look at your motherboard manual and it will tell you how to do it. Then you just put in xp disk and install it. After its installed restart compy and go back to BIOS again and set it to boot from harddrive. Then you should search for the latest drivers for all your hardware and download/install them. Chipset drivers for the mobo, you should download first.

PSU- powersupply
HDD- harddrive
DVD burner
MOBO- motherboard
CPU- central processing unit
RAM- random acess memory

You MUST be sure all the parts you choose are compatible.
