Comparing strings - simple question

Can I compare strings in this way?

if string1 > string2 then

if string1 < string2 then

if string1 >= string2 then

if string1 <= string2 then

You can't compare strings based on value; the given functions for string comparison in WE only decide whether (StringA Equal to/Not Equal to StringB). But you can use conversions and such with Substring functions to extract most values in a string.

Or are you trying to compare numbers in a string? If so, I think you can covert the string into a real/integer, then compare.

how about:
converting both string to an integer/real and then comparing them via >, <, ==, !=

You cannot convert letters into integers. Creates an error.

If you're talking about string LENGTH, then do (String Length). If not, you'll have to do some separating.

Firstly, you get your string, and using substrings, check the first character. If it is an integer, save it under TempInt[1].

Repeat all the way until you finish your string length, then use this:

• Trigger
  • Events
  • Conditions
  • Actions
    • --------What I just said ^---------
    • For each (Integer A) from 1 to (String Length) do (Actions)
      • Loop - Actions
        • Set NewValue = ((NewValue * 10) + TempInt[Integer A])

This will succesfully separate integers from string, and then convert it into a number.

If you input 89wrygw3o4,

it will output 8934.

If you input 2uiwertheiruthhui4.

it will output 24.
