As long as the theme and the rules are followed... anything goes.
If 5 dummies doesn't cut... well, whatever, use more?

Then again,
IT SHOULD NOT LAG HORRENDOUSLY!

And, on a related note, by now those that submitted re-did so with their name somewhere in the map?

??? I don't understand?

Wouldn't you just say....

And, on a related note, by now, those that did submit have redid it with their name somewhere on the name.....

English is confusing.....

And English is my fluent language.... the one I speak most....

Most to all maps were submitted as something like "TH Contest.w3x" and no name anywhere, like in the description...
Which makes it somewhat non-obvious to see who made it.

Seems to have improved by now (based on "last edited by").

You wouldn't want points for someone else's map, would you? :p

At least you got what he said/wrote..

Edit: Just tested the spells.

I found a bug with yours Infinitegde, when I casted the spell a couple of times, one time the spell didn't run, so I casted the spell again, the both instance ran at the same time and it sent the messege Warning! SetTimerStruct(Something) Collision: 1.

I got a replay in case you wanna see and fix it. (Got many replays, hope I uploaded the right one).

________

D.V.D Also that Demon Summoning was pretty laggy compared to the other spells, suggest you to cut down some effects. But that's your choice.

XeNIM666's Unleash Xaphros is laggy somewhat for me... and my computer is good! D.V.D is also laggy.

But I guess this computer is not as new....

1GB RAM
Intel Pentium Dual CPU @ 2.00ghZ

That is my specs....

I found errors in Draphoelix's spell....
- When you cast it in water.... it looks weird.
- When you cast it on a cliff..... it moves strange.

EDIT: I went back to post #1.... and? I read through it... and?

This is somewhat starting to look like discussion. At which point I would like to refer you back to post #1.

Though, then again:
> need to fix code

Clearly.
So far, after 20 tries to cast this, all ending in "Forget it, not here", my conclusion is "It doesn't work".

And, yes, some of them lag tremendously.
I understand this asked for "flashy", but, still... you may want to rework some parts...

I was thinking of cutting off some effects, but I don't know which ones to cut off. I'll try to do something.
EDIT: took off about 300 SFX. Doesn't lag as much anymore.

Ya I know abt that bug, I have already attempted fixing it, but after like a couple hours of mishaps last night, I failed miserably ="( I m going to get back to it today lol.

Although now it seems like it wont matter cuz everyone elses owns mine :banghead: lol, amazing work ppl's =D

The image is somewhat misleading though, I was expecting to see that spiral...

> this does not lag

They all say so. Show me :p

My image?! There is a spiral in the spell too !

AceHart, a question: You never limited us to a single spell per user, in the rules. Considering that, could I submit a second spell? :3

Another question: would using simple Jass (no vJass) or outdated systems, even if it's correctly written, take from my coding points? In other words, do newer methods get more points than the older ones?

Thing is, I just read the vJass tutorials and I could rewrite the spell into vJass, but if it's not necessary, I don't want to waste that time.

I agree...
Can we create another spell?

I was planning to create another spell based on the same code.

Hmm, how do I change my signature?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

I am not big on the recipes I am just promoting them - I use the site as a practice place promoting stuff

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
