im making a mailman and i need to make it so a mail trailer follows the first truck without control but the trick is i need it to beable to hold items for the player other thing is can you set patrol distance when following i need it to follow nose up the *ss you know.

Could just make a 0.0(number) periodic event wait time

Then for the action make them patrol the unit.

That way it spams for them to follow them, and they'll be as close as they possibly can.

Replace (number) with whatever number, anything but 0, because that will lag the game out.

is there somewhere to change the patrol distance there has to be somewhere...

patrol distance? what the heck is a patrol distance?
might you mean the following distance? when unit A is following unit B its the distance between unit A and B? this might be changed within the gameplay constants.
