Hey, im making a Titan in Island Defense, those of you who have not played it, it is comparable to that of a cat and mouse, where the titan plays the cat role.
Anyways, im trying to make an example titan for the map editors and its ultimate spell being a devouring spell.
I'll show you the thread too and the spell specifically:

Ultimate: Devouring: Devours a unit granting Fossurious a drastical increase in health regen (Critters and Main Builders cant be devoured).
Mana Cost: 400.
Duration/Cooldown: Lasts 12 Seconds and takes 240 seconds cooldown.
Ability can be specced at: Lvl12
List of Devouring effects.
Minion: 200health/second.
Hunter: 150health/second.
Miniminions/Chicken: 100health/second.
Other: 80health/second.

I have progressed far enough with the devouring spell that it eats the target, but it does not regenerate. Dont worry about the list of different effects, i'll manage that. what i wanna know is how i can make it regenerate while it has eating something.

Alright... well I'm not sure you can detect if a unit is being damaged by the devour cargo ability (that is what is being used to damage the unit, right?)

What you can do though is make a dummy unit cast a form of rejuvenation on your hero when he casts the devour spell. That of course wont be the same... but it is similar. Something else you could do (if you don't want it to give a buff [also makes it undispellable] and feel like jumping some extra hoops) is give your titan a passive regeneration ability (you can base it off ring of regeneration's ability) and remove it after X duration.

The second option will require you to play with many more variables so I would recommend the first one.
I'm not well versed in JASS so it might be possible to do, but I've not heard about detecting death caused by a passive ability.
