Laptops sound wont work.

I know its not muted and it has the volume icon in the tray. Before when the sound worked, when i held the fn key then pressed pg down or pg up, it would ajust the volume and show me that the volume was being changed. It does none of that now. What could be the problem

Check your drivers and see if the audio driver is there. This happened to me recently. My audio driver had been uninstalled by accident. Probably someone messing with my laptop. Just install/update the driver and it should all work fine. Unless your sound card is giving problems.
