Need help making an ability and trigger

I need help making a devour spell but if i base it off devour and use triggers on the spell, will the devouring still work??Please anybody can help me if they know

That depends on what you want to do with your Devour spell.

Is it you devour then when the targetted unit is digested, your hero gain HP
or
when u devour, your hero cannot move because he is too full
or
when he devour, his size increase


Please elaborate more...

i wanna make a devour spell based of devour that devours an enemy unit for 5/6/7 seconds then spits the target out and spits out a pool of acid that deals AoE damage.
