Well, it's supposed to have a 20% chance to cast faerie fire. I based it off of feedback... Coruption = Feedback

The learn corruption works.

Trigger:
  • Learn Corruption
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Finishes research
    • Conditions
      • (Researched tech-type) Equal to Corruption
    • Actions
      • Game - Display to (All players) the text: worked
      • Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units of type Spirit Tower) and do (Unit - Add Corruption to (Picked unit))


Trigger:
  • Corruption
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Begins casting an ability
    • Conditions
      • (Ability being cast) Equal to Corruption
      • (Random integer number between 1 and 100) Less than or equal to 20
    • Actions
      • Unit - Create 1 Dummy for (Owner of (Attacking unit)) at (Position of (Attacked unit)) facing Default building facing degrees
      • Unit - Add a 1.50 second Generic expiration timer to (Last created unit)
      • Unit - Add Faerie Fire to (Last created unit)
      • Unit - Order (Last created unit) to Night Elf Druid Of The Talon - Activate Faerie Fire

Casting unit and target unit of ability being cast. There are no attacking/attacked units.



Also, in this case it would probably be safer to use 'starts the effect of an ability' instead of 'begins casting...,' since begins casting can be cancelled before the CD or mana cost are set off.

What's wrong is that your event is 'A unit starts casting an ability' and you have event responses 'attacked unit' and 'attacking unit.' The event needs to be 'a unit is attacked' for 'attacked unit' and 'attacking unit' to work. The event you're using has the equivalents 'casting unit' and 'target unit of ability being cast'.


Unless of course corruption is actually an on-attack ability from a tower, which ytou should have mentioned earlier but didn't, at which point you either need a damage detection system or, alternatively, you could just give the tower an ability based off of the 'orb of lightning' ability which uses a faerie fire ability instead of purge.
