As for like.. quest quests in campaigns and stuff i dunno, you gotta explain your map a bit. But since you just say quest ideas i think that you just want the informations and stuff

You could try to make a missing pet quest

A quest where you need to assasinate someone stealthy

Collect items

Kill certain amounts of a type of monsters ie. wolves

the map is an RPG (obviousely) and i said whatever anyone can think of, no restrictions.

4. Go find some dude and he joins your group or w/e
5. Defend against some attacker dudes
6. Escape some dudes

How about taking a leaf from Blizz's notebook and make a ton of mindless gathering/killing quests? That's always fun.

Or you could also make a place where you can bring in bounties for monies. Like, there is a list of bad guys you can catch, and when you kill them, they drop an item, like their head, and you bring that in and they pay you.

How about a greedy merchant asking for an item from a rare mob, but gives no reward, so the player can be humiliated for not seeing him as a greedy bastard?

Race, a mini-race event. Race other players and the all powerful AI for EXP and GOLD, the AI should be powerful and hard. Maybe a race cart, or a race to another town. With caemra being restricted to te path only, and other 'obstacles'.

On the topic of quests that end up screwing you over...

Have some quest givers, like mysterious creepy guys, ask you to escort him/her somewhere.... and he leads you into some isolated place where he turns on you and starts attacking you!!!

- U have a villager who lost his key or something, and you better find it. The key was stolen by a thief because it's the key to the villager's storeroom in the woods where a lot of cash is held. Knock down the thief and return the key to the villager.

- There is one swordsman challenged into a duel, but he says "I'm scared, he's too strong". He needs another swordsman to take his place and to act like him. Take up his place and defeat the challenger.

- One woman needs a letter delivered immediately, but the mailmen won't come. She needs your help and you deliver the letter to the desired area.

- There's one Mage who is dealing with a couple of monsters, and he needs your help to defeat them. In turn he'll give you gold or some powerful enchantment.

- A skilled alchemist asks you to gather up and find lots of crystals in a cave area. The cave area has plenty of creeps on it. Once you gather enough crystals, return them to the alchemist and he'll transmute it into a random item that's always powerful regardless of the result.

- Or, a blacksmith ask you to gather a few precious stones and minerals (like jade, obsidian, marble, etc.), and if you return it to him, you must give him an ordinary sword and he'll turn it into a nice sword (Sword of Hellfire, Jade Blade, etc.).

you can trade the 400 gold or 20 lumber to have a weapon or somthing..
