Hi!
I'm not quite sure if this is supposed to be posted in the Technical Support secion, but still XD

Here's my problem... I was working on a map about a year ago and I thought I'd take a look at it again now. And it loaded fine, and I could do whatever I'd like, though when I was going to save, the JassHelper saver stopped at "Parsing", and after a few seconds the error, "Out of memory" appeared :S

I was just wondering if any of you have an idea of what could be causing this ?
Maybe it's corrupted ? :S

Just gonna bump this, as I have now disabled all triggers in the map, and still the same error :(

Any ideas ? Please ! I put quite a lot of time into this map :S

Anything in the Map Script?
Do other maps save fine?
Try copying all the scripts to an empty map and see if it works.

On the "Trigger Editor" click the map icon, that's the 'header' script (never really learned its name ^_^)

Yeah, it's called Map Header... But there is nothing there, I always use "libraries" :p

But I imported all object data to another map, and still works... Will import the trigger too now :S

Yepp... I imported the triggers too (Though didn't enable them but since I hadn't got them enabled in that other map and that doesn't work, ...) but it still saves :S

What could be the problem ?!

That's very odd.
Try copying and pasting your original map, then open the pasted map. I vaguely remember an issue like this but I fixed it through that.

I haven't come across this myself...but if both the objects and triggers work, maybe there are too many doodads or preplaced units or the like?

Do you have the most recent JassHelper?
They fixed a bug in a .j version supposedly that has Out of Memory on it.

are you sure that you use actions which are allowed by 1.24 patch and that you have latest newgen version?

We could safely assume he is, since he's able to load the map and save the triggers in a different map.

Yeah, I have the 1.24b patch, and both Newgen and JassHelper v. 0.9.I.2 (Though I know the latest is 0.9.j.0)...

Oh... No didn't try that... Though it's working again now !!! YAY :D

I removed all imported models (There were quite many) and works now :D

EDIT: Ok, well everything works fine now... And I've imported back all the models and such, and still works :D
Though there is still one problem... All (And when I say all, I mean all) icons have become the green box :( (Except the disabled ones)

Any ideas ? :S

thats a big big problem. Seems like the file is corrupted. Just make a new map and copy everything over. Terrain, object data, preplaced doodads and units, imports. Took me about 20 min and i had alot of import which i needed to fix.

Like I said, have you tried copying and pasting the map? This has worked for me once when I had these weird problems, I'm not sure how exactly though.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
