I got on my SuperMelee map problem regarding Event where player upgrades his base to Human,Orc,Undead or Night Elf Tier. What I want to do is to make building named "Shop" to upgrade to shop of same race as the upgradet Base tier is.

In other words, I lack the information of what conditions etc. to use.

There is an event called "Unit finishes upgrade", I don't see why that shouldn't work?

Argh... I know it, but the problem is that I need the trigger to identify WHAT type of unit it did upgrade to...

like this

Upgrades to Human Base- Replace Shop with Human Shop
Upgrades to Orc Base- Replace Shop with Orc Shop
Upgrades to Undead Base- Replace Shop with Undead Shop
Upgrades to Night Elf Base- Replace Shop with Night Elf Shop

Can't you ask if the players owns a Human Base? I don't think that you're able to have a Human and an Undead Base...

The problem is bit more complicated... Hell you can have all bases if you like to and thats not the problem. My problem is the there doesn't seem to be any condition to check what type of unit did the "Upgradet unit" upgrade to...

Kinda tricky

Why doesn't anyone on this forum have the ability to think? Argh, that sounded harsh.

Can't you simply ask if the player owns a human base, and then upgrade the shop to the human one? As in "If number of units owned by [player] of type [human base] >= 1 then Replace [shop] with [human shop]".

Did that make sense? I'm kinda confused right now ~~

No it cant be done like that, the first problem is that I'd have to make it with periodic event trigger to check it and I know from experience that it causes stuff like creating excess amount of these units etc.

Mhm, can't you give the shops upgrades to those (Human Shop, Orc Shop), but make those upgraded shops require the bases?
You know, "Techtree - Requirements" is what I want to refer to.

Yeah that WOULD work, but the reason I asked it that isn't as nifty as making Shop of the selected race automatically...

Dont look at me like that...

Base 4 abilities off chaos, one for each new shop (so "New Unit" as [Undead shop]/[Human shop] etc) with the requirement as the building.

So you Human shop chaos requires The Human HQ etc.

Then give all four chaos abilities to the shop.

Did you have a look at "Triggering unit"? That should be the new structure with "unit finishes an upgrade".

I tried it, but it just.. didnt work. Why ? I guess the game doesnt identify WHAT unit type it's supposed to check... Go figure

If you upgrade a Town Hall to a Keep, then the condition "(Unit-type of (Triggering unit)) Equal to Keep" will work...

Anyway, here's two frequently posted replies:

- "It doesn't work" is not a very good problem description

- Trigger problems are best solved by posting the actual trigger
