I must agree, it was a great speech! I love presidents that rise to the occasion when there are times of troubles due to a national tragedy.

I don't think a 30 minute speech is "rising to the occasion." How about doing something that actually prevents this in the future? Words wont do that, new legislation will.

Also way too much applause. People think Obama is a God and I think the listeners from that University were more interested in hearing their university mentioned/praised than anything else.

But I do have to admit, it was a very good speech. However, without action to back it, it's worthless.

New Legislation to do what? Take Americans guns away?
invent a magic pill that causes all mentally insane and evil people to spontaneously combust?

I love the kneejerk reactions of people who believe that new laws will somehow stop acts of evil and insanity.

30 minutes? As compared to the 6 minute Reagon speech for the challenger explosion?
A president goes out of his way to deliver a powerful message. More powerful than most presidents in this nations
history for such a tragedy. But yet he didn't 'rise to the occasion'.
Your right. He should have not said a word. He should have sheltered himself in the White House, and tried to pass emergency
legislation to prevent an act that no one can or will ever completely understand the reasoning or the motive.
We should have all thrown our hands in the air and yelled that the world is ending, its time to subvert the constitution and
limit American rights even more. Because obviously the problem here is the law, and it has only been a problem since Obama took office.
Not one second before.

There are alot of people who do not like Obama.
They have reached this conclusion, and such, will disregard anything he says or does, of having any merit whatsoever, regardless of fact or validity.
To admit that he may have a valid argument is to much of a break in character for these people.
They scrutinize everything he says and does hoping to find an opening to oppose, discredit, and pass him off as an ignorant liberal.

Guns, or the ability to legally get a gun, which he did, is not the problem here.
And secondly, and most obviously. This IS Obama's Fault. Obama is fully to blame for these acts.
If he did not support healthcare reform and he wasn't black this never would have happened.

Yes, let's only praise people upon their death when it's already too late. Why not call people out on their great behavior while they're still alive?

Stop assuming so much, perhaps 2 of your sentences pertain directly to anything I said.

Unless you were just going on a general rant, which is probably the case.

People like charisma, especially in a "leader" It's about congress we need to worry about, moreso than the president. I do agree with sqrage, actions will do much more than the spoken word. And to those who say, "Come up with a solution", the best thing my tiny mind can think of is work on the issue why this crap happens, things that make people go crazy.

Hmm, how do I change my signature?

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
