Skin Young Medivh

[Grymlax]

This is medivh back in the days. when his cloths had colors and when they were whole. And yes as you probably will see, he did dye his hair, beard and even his eyebrows blue back then.

I have altered his face quite alot to make him look younger and i thought he looked better in black so therefor the clothes. this was the first thing i've ever skinned so feedback is more then welcome whatever you have to say.

Implementation instructions:

1. Download the YoungMedivh.blp from the bottom of this page.

2. Open the World Editor, open the import manager, import the file.

3. double click on the imported file and tick the custom path box.

4. write units\creeps\Medivh\Medivh.blp in the full path.

5. Save your map, close the world editor and open it again.

6. give your unit the medivh model file and your good to go.

7. if you use this skin in your map make sure to give Grymlax some credit.

short implementaion instructions for the icons:

1 import the BTN and the DISBTN file to your map.
2 change the custom path of the BTN file to ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNYoungMedivh.tga and the path of the DISBTN file to ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTNYoungMedivh.tga
3 restart your editor and use the icons

I like how you completly redid the face, you could work on the other stuff though, like the cloak and staff.

you could make the facial hair team coloured

red for player 1, blue for 2, etc

It would be superb if you would convert the .tga icons into .blp ones and compressed them and the skin into a .zip file.

A simple 'Read Me' .txt file wouldn't hurt, too. (the implementation steps and skin path)


Anyway, the skin looks nice except the face.

It looks like he has worn goggles during intense sunlight and burnt his face, except his eyes...

thanks for the feedback. this is exactly what i need to hear, sometimes i can become blind to my own mistakes. i will try to fix the things you pointed out as soon as i get a chance but in the upcoming week i will be very busy at school so it might take a while.

a list of paths/implementation instructions, and then re-upload.
