You're a male, of course you play the Sims. With different genders.

Alright, whatever the main clues we have, the only thing that may work would be:

1. Ask them if they are a boy or a girl.

2. Check their photos out, see if they tends to take slanted photos, or animals instead of environment and cars or other technologies. A bit slanted photos = female user.

3. If the picture is a bit blurry, the person using it is a she, since that person is using her cell phone to take pictures, which the resolutions of the pictures aren't perfect compared to a digital camera.

4. Girls tend to use a lot of talking during daytime; at nighttime, they are mostly studying, sleeping, watching late night shows or movies, or even watching the news/weather. If the person who made a post that referenced stuffs about cartoon characters or something that relates to comics or gaming, it's a male.

5. Most women buy a laptop. So, when typing, they mostly make typos while replying. About 43% of the Internet users tends to edit their typos, while others continues to type without proofreading/spell checking their work. In those 43%, about 21% to 28% of them are women, mostly using blogs, or other stuffs.

Anything more or less, like this is inaccurate or this is true, whatever, tell me.

I got one question:

Why does it matter?! You are talking to them on the interwbs, does it matter if they are male, female, old, young, etc...

It's complete nonsense, except for 1.

Your post at the very least implies:
-guys never take photos of animals
-guys never take photos using a cellphone
-cellphone photos are always blurry while camera photos never are
-girls never refer to comics or cartoons
-guys don't use laptops (what the hell?!)
-using a laptop is bound to cause typos

To SFilip:

Males hardly say an animal is cute, and snaps a photo of it. It's not like you are replying just to prove that males do, but what I'm trying to say is that males don't consider cuteness towards an animal at first sight.

Males hardly do take photos, either slanted or not, with their cell phones, but they only do it just for a human (friend or opposite gender). Donating counts, pictures on XP counts (For Windows XP campaign, which is for humans), and so on. Again, it's not about replying just to prove this bit.

As for cellphones, do you have a visually clear, high resolution picture taken by any kind of cellphones before? This is to prove that you used a cellphone and took a picture with highly detailed textures.

For cartoons, I may have left out some details, forgeting to make examples, such as: Powerpuff Girls, Sailor Moon, etc... Ignore that hypothesis.

I didn't say guys don't use laptops. I'm using one right now! Along with the next hypothesis, I mean that women tends to buy a laptop, either for traveling or for easier carriage. Whatever kind that suits womens, they are all included. Men do buy laptops also, as often as they can possibly buy.

However, as they type on a laptop, both women and men tends to have typos very often, due to the smaller sizes of the keyboard compared to standard keyboards for desktops. Men frequently make typos, women tends to make typos but not that often. The total amount of typo typers are the entire total of laptops users x 43%. Set that value as (Real ("X") without the quotes and parentheses).

About an estimate of 21% to 28% of X, women make typos either while replying/posting a blog or post/thread, but they do proofread and spell check their posts before they push "Submit". That means they could have no typos/grammar errors/correct proofreading and spellings, or they do have either one or two or maybe even three of those in that range.

So, if you're still not satisfied or anything that comes up, post it again and I'll tell you more.

Not admitting they do and actually not considering are different things.
My friends, male and female, take plenty of pictures with their pets, or just take photos of pets alone.

> Males hardly do take photos, either slanted or not, with their cell phones
Nonsense. If anything, they use cellphones more often simply because they always carry them around, unlike cameras.

> As for cellphones, do you have a visually clear, high resolution picture taken by any kind of cellphones before?
Sony Ericsson K800 - Google it. Not the only one of course, and will become one of many as time passes.

> Men frequently make typos, women tends to make typos but not that often.
What are you basing this on?
No, women statistically don't make typos less than men. No, men don't statistically make typos more often either. Not counting, of course, that there are simply more men on teh interweb, typos have absolutely nothing to do with gender.

Absolutely no idea where you're aiming at with the laptop thing. Again, has nothing to do with gender, both men and women use laptops, never once have I heard (or seen, for that matter) that women in general use them more often.

It's a bit weird when you get a 5 page essay when it's about trying to find out the gender of people in the internet. Isn't the Secksy Whimin's Thread better? :D

The targeted audience are mostly guys. Those who didn't reply once in that thread are known as women. Tell me if I'm wrong. +rep!

EDIT: I can't +rep you, esb. I can rest my entire case now.

After 6 pages, I would hope that you would realize that there is no 'standards' nor 'guideline' or anything close, to how people act/type/talk/are in the internet, or in the real world. Everyone is different, no matter what gender, race, etc. I think what you are looking for would be stereotypes.

Time for a silly comic:

Um...what's the point of the comics?

And besides, I thought this case is over, and everyone would say it's over. But it turns out, there are more than expected. I think it's is more of an issue/debate than just a question. What would you say?

^Read above post.

> I think it's is more of an issue/debate than just a question.

About what?
Just don't care too much whether a forum user is male or female.

> Um...what's the point of the comics?

Showing how stupid stereotyping is.
Like, if one girl is stupid at Math, doesn't mean ALL girls are stupid at Math.
The comic above shows how ridiculous it is to stereotype.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
