Can you make abilities cost gold?

Question is in the name

Want to make a spell that heals but costs gold to use
and also one that gives mana, just like potions but they are abilites and cost gold not mana

EDIT - I know you can do this with a trigger, but is there no way to do it another way? Cause what i want is it to display how much gold it costs
like an ability has a picture of mana and how it cost costs to use. If i use a trigger it won't and players won't know how much it costs.

Yes. But if the player has 70 gold it will still be able to use the ability.

There is a spell called "Charge Gold and Lumber". There are gold/wood cost in the fields. Use it and trigger the effect.

Go into object editor and go to the ability tab. then hit ctrl shift n which will open up create new ability. Change the type of spell from hero, to unit then scroll down until u find the spell charge gold and lumber. Hope this helps u find that ability...
