Is it possible to use "Takes damage" as a generic unit event? If not, is there any way to use it in such a manner? I want to make it so that when a unit takes damage, it will gain mana.
I have an old map project that I abandoned a while ago. I started a new project recently and I want to get an old custom unit off of my old project, but I don't know if I can even do that. You can't have more than one World Editor open at once and I can't just hit ctrl+C to copy it from one map...
Is there any way to change the tileset of an existing map or add more types of tiles to a tileset for a map?
Also, do I need a unique Reign of Chaos CD-Key as well as a unique Frozen Throne CD-Key to play on battle.net or can I just use a different Frozen Throne key but the same Reign of Chaos...
How do you get a dummy caster to use a custom ability? I looked in all the "issue order" actions, but there are just lists of abilities to order a unit to perform. Do I have to use custom scripts or something?
Is there any way to apply a buff using a trigger action? When I "search for text" the action list in world editor, I only get remove buff actions. If there is not a way to apply buffs with actions, I have considered using a dummy caster or possibly JASS, but I don't know the first thing about...
For some reason, I can't get the attack speed of a unit to exceed something like a 0.25 second cooldown on their attack (as in the cooldown is less than .25 and it attacks faster). I know that it's possible to have crazy fast attack speeds as I have witnessed it in many other maps, but I can't...
Sounds like a great map.
Personally, I'd prefer if you were more detailed with the map. I wouldn't mind if it was stretched over multiple maps; however, if you want it to be more battle.net oriented, I could see how you might choose a shorter version confined to one map instead of multiple...
What kind of comparison should I use to compare the custom value of a unit? I'm pretty sure you can compare custom values, but I can't seem to find it among the conditions. I've tried "search for text," but I get no results.
