Thanks for your help, i had already tried to contact the manufacturers, but there site is clearly designed to be unhelpfull, even with software updates, although i get the impression there isn't any for this device. I did as you said, unistalled it, plugged it back in and it installed again...

:D Yeah got all the necessary bits 'n' piece's i.e SpyBot HijackThis Hitman (causes slowing, removed it) Just did ComboFix and got system restore working :P
