What if you had 4-8 regions around the unit, depending on how specific you wanted to be. Just have a periodic event moving the regions to the position of your unit, offset by wherever you want them placed. It would look something like this:

Oh perfect. I didn't know that trigger would disable the hero from learning the skill as well. I'll just give him double the hero skills, with a human set and a werewolf set. Thanks a bunch! +rep!
Alrighty, here's my problem. I have a hero unit that automatically transforms into a werewolf at night using Bear Form and various triggers.
What I want to do is have a set of hero skills for his human form and a different set for his werewolf counterpart. From what I've seen, when using Bear...
Here's the strange part. I tried placing the gargoyle unit on my map in the editor, and he starts off in stone form. So I don't think it's the Storm Crow ability that's doing it. Can you not have a hero gargoyle or something?
Naw, still does the same thing. Thanks for trying.
*Edit - It seems to be a problem with the gargoyle being a hero unit. I guess the ability is not the problem.
Alright, so I'm trying to make a vampire with the ability to turn into a bat. Using the dreadlord model and the gargoyle model, I've given them the storm crow ability. My problem is this: Whenever the gargoyle stops moving, his model becomes the stoneform gargoyle. It actually looks pretty cool...
Why not have a little of both? You could have a den or "main base" where your herd brings food back to, keeping all your dinosaurs healthy. Your dinos would have to return to the den every so often to recuperate.
Then you could have your main dino, being more experienced than the others, have...
Alright, not sure how farfetched you want to go with the idea but bare with me. For LightChaosma's idea, maybe have different dinosaurs you can mate with, causing different breeds of babies. They could grow up over time to fight and hunt for your herd.
This would probably cause the game to...
You could add a hunger and rest aspect where you need to eat and sleep or you start losing health over time.
As well, try making different species have advantages on different types of terrain. For example, you could give damage modifiers, lowering their damage if its not their natural habitat.
Ok, so I took the advice of the majority of the people that tested this and removed the music. It's not worth it in the long run as it just slows the game down and gets too repetative after a while. Most people just play their own playlist and turn off game music anyhow.
*Edit: Did a few more...
It depends how you want to do it. If you want the vision shared right from the get-go, just go to forces properties in the map editor and put the 2 players in the same force. Then just click the shared vision box and bingo.
You can do it using triggers as well if the players aren't allied or...
