To make melee games vs AI more a challenge I decided to give AI units one of six random 'traits' when they finish training a unit (Exceptions are peons, structures, heroes).
For example: A computer player finishes training a footman. A trigger runs declaring which of six traits (such as raised armor, more damage, speed bonus, no food cost) apply on this unit and will give this trait to the unit.
This works fine so far!
Currently I am at the stage of finecrafting these abilities for an option to apply these traits also on player units!
I want to show an icon for each unit at Positions (X|Y) 1|1 with a small Info Text which trait this unit has gained. Unfortunately this icon won't show up, even when for test demonstrations I gave this ability natively to this unit! Yet the trait effect will still be used.
What can I do? In the object editor I edited the Art - Icon and Art - Button Position (X|Y) entries properly to my wishes as well as the tool tips.
Any help would be appreciated. Also +rep!
