Air clustering

Is there a way to make my air units clump together when they are standing and attacking ??

They CAN be forced into a tight ball, but will spread out after a while...

So is there a gameplay constant i have to edit ?

will it work if you give them a really low collision size? :S

Doesnt matter about collision for air units. You can do it in melee maps. Just use a trigger. Pick all unit and if unit type of picked unit is equal to the air unit you want order picked unit to move to postion of map.

I mean i remember a patch in b.net saying that air units will now "spread" out to make it easier to target.<---just wondering if there is a switch i can revert back or something. O well

Ok, i checked gameplay constants, and there is nothing there... so i guess the new patch screwed it right up!

air units "clump up" when i set a lot of them to patrol 1 ground unit and then make that unit move, but spread out when they start attacking.. and they move like sideways and stuff, not interupting the attack..

Actually, it fixed a major problem.


That said, air units have "movement - group separation - enabled" on "true",
whereas ground units have it on "false".
It might help to change it...

Thank you Aceheart. Hmm so it was something in the unit editor-field.

For those wondering : Yes disable Movement -group seperator and you're good to go.
