Brief Overview
Battle of the Stars is an Aeon of Strife (AOS) styled map featuring TV and Movie characters as Heroes and Villains. Featuring a unique map design, lots of new items and recipes, and of course innovate and original characters, BotS is more than a standard AOS map. There are many side quests and player options that relieve the tedium of repetive gameplay, such as player duels, and conquering the Naga Islands.

A few more details might not hurt. How about...

... some Hero Introductions.

For The Yin Force:
Telekinetic.jpg

Jean Grey the Telekinetic, one of Professor Xavier's first X-Men, has always been considered one of the strongest mutants ever to live. By focusing her mind in Concentration, she can replenish her mental power. She can cause Psychic Strain to her enemies, dealing damage to both their bodies and their minds, or instead choose to ease the suffering of a teammate by relieving some of the mental anguish and also healing the body. What good would a Telekinetic be if she cant hurl things? Jean Grey is no dissapointment. She can turn the very trees growing around her into deadly projectiles, dealing massive damage to whatever they hit. Finally, in an act of desperation, Jean can sacrifice herself to the dormant powers within, rending her former body asunder, and releasing the Phoenix-force inside.

Tinker.jpg

MacGyver the Tinker, renowned the world 'round for his ability to make anything when all he has is nothing, and he does not dissapoint. His Tinkering skill lets him assemble a variety of objects, from Homing Missiles to handheld Lasers. But never mind the toys, MacGyver puts his real talent to use building his ever-useful Tinker Towers. While seemingly useless, simply add any of his Tinkered items to a Tower, and it becomes one of many different powerful towers to be avoided at all costs. Not much of a fighter, and never one for guns, MacGyver often relies on stealth to avoid enemy attacks. However, sometimes you just need to blow sh*t up, and MacGyver really comes through in a pinch! By combining a D-Cell battery and Duct Tape, as only he knows how, MacGyver creates a small, hand-held, thermonuclear device which he can lob at unlucky foes.

For The Yang Force:
Dark%20Lord.jpg

From the realm of "Harry Potter" comes the ultimate in dark magic, Voldemort the Dark Lord. Making use of the three Unforgivable Curses, he is a danger to all who oppose him. Cruciatus, the curse of pain, curses an opponent with extreme pain, stunning him and making him unable to concentrate and cast spells. Imperius, the curse of control, can turn an opposing army into hapless minions, toiling at the whim of the Dark Lord. Avada Kedavra, the curse of death, rapidly drains life from a victim while replenishing Voldemort's own essence. Notoriously hard to kill, the Dark Lord can create a Horcrux to maintain a piece of his soul. While in posession of a Horcrux, Voldemort can replenish his mana at a faster rate, and can use it to rise from the dead.

Sith%20Lord.jpg

Darth Vader, the most infamous Sith Lord in all the universe, lends his mighty figure to the battle. A former padawan under Obi-wan Kenobi, his keen Jedi Senses allow him to dodge incoming blaster bolts, and parry melee attacks. If surrounded, a simple Force Push will create a barrier around the Sith that none can penetrate. Cross his path at your own risk, however, as Vader can squeeze the life right out of you by using only his mind, and the deadly Force Choke ability. When massive destruction is what is called for, Darth Vader unleashes the ultimate in attacks. Summoning the Death Star, he gives the order to fire, obliterating anything it touches.

... some game features:
Player Duels: Challenge any enemy to a private, one-on-one battle free from other player intervention. Two warriors, man to man, mano a mano, going at it like wild animals, and only one can survive.

Trade Heroes: Decide you dont like the hero you're using? Want to let someone else try him out for awhile? Players can actively trade Heroes amongst their teammates. Or, trade for a quitter's Hero, assuming complete control of it and leaving your former Hero for your team's use.

Multi Mode: One of the many host options, Multi Mode allows the host to decide how many copies of each Hero will be allowed to be chosen from the Taverns. Want to do a 5v5, Pikachu vs Care Bear battle? Easily done!

Control Point Mode: Turn-about is fair play. Destroy an opposing guard tower, and it will soon be replaced by one of your own. CP Mode gives a whole new tactic to the game, and "pushing" takes on a whole new importance. You'll need to work as a team to overcome this challenging mode.

Brief Overview
A sequel to Warcraft 3's most popular multiplayer fishing sim. Grab a pole, bait your hook, and toss in your line! Not a landlubber? Looking for the big catch? Then get your sea legs aboard one of five fishing boats and head out to deeper waters. Play solo, or compete against friends in three areas of competition.

A bit more detail never hurts...

Based off the familiar fishing grounds of the original Go FiSH!, the map has been expanded to include new mainland, including a new lake, fishing villiage, and cove. However, true to its name, its the ocean that see's the biggest addition. New deeper waters have been added, where even bigger fish live. In addition to the expanded terrain, three new boats, the Stealth Boat, the Sky Barge, and the Yacht, have been added for purchase. Not happy with the stock boat? Look for the Engine Upgrades and the super-handy FiSH Finder! Keep your eyes open for FiSH Food, a special, all natural treat that grows on the mainland that drives fish wild. Many other additions have been made, including a variable-length tournament selection (one, three, or five days), as well as a Free Fishing mode for single players that has no time limit. Its all the fun of the original Go FiSH!, and a whole lot more!

How come you're so into recipes lately? Never saw this much interest in this topic in the old days of TH.net
  • Monovertex Monovertex:
Hmm, how do I change my signature?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I am not big on the recipes I am just promoting them - I use the site as a practice place promoting stuff

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

You can get there if you click the bell icon (alerts) and choose preferences from the bottom, signature will be in the menu on the left there https://www.thehelper.net/account/preferences

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
  • Ghan Ghan:
Heard Houston got hit pretty bad by storms last night. Hope all is well with TH.
