anti air for NE

just wondering cause I was getting killed by air while playing nightelf.
so what's best anti air unit for Night elf?

against gryphin riders? against dragon hawk? or against other air units? let me hear you opinion

When I play 1vs1 against orc, they usually rush to tier 2 , harass with blademaster w/ 2/3 grunts. When they get air, I get 5-6 Hippogryphs and there massive air build is ruined.

Hippos are alot weaker than they should be... Archers get owned by anything that is a
ground unti..

Honestly nelf has worst AA options than any race imo...

Human has gyros, rifles, and tanks
Orc has bats, raiders and headhunters
Undead have gargs, and fiends

Ne have archers (sorta) dryads, and hippos. Most likely dryads are best bet but they're at least T2. Another possability is dotts. They great against orc in general, but sucks against other races.

Dryads are fast, spell immune, can dispel and have slow poison all for marginally more cost than a footman.

make Archers (tier3 upgrades) + Dryads (armor max) ; it's the best aa you can have (you can add druid of the talons with all spell upgrades to make it more powerful)
anyway : Archers tier 3 (max 38 piercing dmg and high armor+Elune's Grace) > Dryads tier 3 (very low dmg, unarmored armor, only slow poison+dispel magic+magic immune)

archers : tank magic attacks very well and can disable heroes very fast
dryads : aims mainly on aa else they are near useless

I think it's fair enough considering how powerful a unit they are.

Dryads now give 3x (30 total) more xp than normal.

Also... if you mass dryads, ther other person will just get seige and win. Dryads bears are the most effective combination in general, but against other units they become weak...

Most likely dotts are most effective vs aa for ne... I didn't know they got splash vs aa in crow form.

NE- hunts or bears for meat shield, add seige
HU- same thing but with morts, which are alot more dangerous. or they just mass tanks.
Orc- Raiders
UD- fiends with unholy aura, meat wagons with abombs.

Listing a units counters means nothing. All units have counters.

They are still an incredibly powerful unit for the price.

Hippogryphs or Druids of the Talon are best AA for NE. Hippos are cheap and you can get them at tier 2. The only bad thing is that battriders can rape them sideways.

Archers are a better choice vs wyverns, but let's see how well they do vs gryphs, chims, wyrms etc

they'd actually still do decently since they reduce magic damage by 45% or so if I remember correctly.

well no fucken shit this is moon we are talking about here. moon = one of the best ladder players. have you seen that one vid where he killed a bunch of full hp grunts with like 3 low hp archers and a zepplin? hes a fucken pro ^^
