[AoS] Day Of Destiny

Heya

Day of Destiny is a map Ive been working on with a few friends over the past 2 months.

Are the main two other guys working on this project.
I've also gotten help from others :)

So far we;ve made quite some progress
- Unique Inventory System
Allows you to equip items d2/WoW style, into an 11slot (spellbook) invetory.
So you can equip a weapon/helmet/armor/boots etc. etc.
You still keep you standard inventory for consumable items like potions/scrolls
(Complete)

- New style of terrain, making it a 3 way battle between
Alliance / Sentinel / Scourge
It is 4v4v4 so it should still allow you have a mid/large sized team
(Complete)

- More control over team unit spawns
In addition to picking a hero, each player also selects a unit
That unit gets added to the spawn pool. So e.g.
Player 1 picks Footman
Player 2 picks Priest
Player 3 picks Rifleman
Player 4 picks Footman
Then that teams unit spawn will be those 4 units.

- A "get host" mode selection system
This means the host can switch to any player/team and still be able to pick
the modes.
Hes not forced to stay player1 and thus be Alliance everygame.

- A 6 varation Hero class system
Light Strength
Heavy Strength
Light Agility
Heavy Agility
Light Intelligence
Heavy Intelligence
You can pick the hero type that you enjoy most.

We're now up to making the Heroes.

Chuck's the main Jass guy/Spell maker
but Im looking here to see if anyone would be interested in making a spell or two?
It will speed up the progress.

Spells are not required to be Jass but should be MUI to some degree.
Atleast MUI for 12 players, i.e. each player can be casting the same spell once.

I would just like to say, congrats. I have been dreaming of making an AoS like that forever but could never work myself up to it. I'm currently working on a project with some cool guys from the forums helping me, so once that starts kicking off I could maybe throw in a spell or two. Just PM with the hero that you are looking at for spells or something. I don't really know JASS and am not dedicated to learn it, for I will quit wc3 before I get good at it. I can make triggered spells which still are very nice so hopefully they could make it in the map :D

Ok ill post a few spells, see if anyone wants to pick one up.

This hero is laregly inspired by the DOTA Ogre Magi hero wit his multicast.

Seer

Arcane Missles

Targeting - Single Unit
- Fires (Level x 1) Missles at target unit.
Eac missle then bounces to random nearby enemy units (up to 5 times).

Basically like DOTA Liche Frost ultimate, without cold efffect, and each level shoots an additional missle.

Arcane Nova

Targeting - No target (AoE)
- Creates (level x 1) Nova's

Arcane Explosion
Targeting - No target (AoE)
- Creates rando explosions around the caster damaging nearby enemy units
CHANNELING

Basically like Crystal Maidens Ultimate, without the cold effect

The plan then is to give this hero a multicast passive ability.
It will be triggerd each time an effect of a spell if cast

e.g. Arcane Missle,
Each time a missle is fired, there will be a chance another missle is fired.

So say 10% chance to multicast.
At level 3 you fire 3 missles, each with a 10% chance to cast anoter one.
The additional missles then also have a chance to multicast.

Pulverize

Targeting - Single Unit

Smashes target unit into the ground (burrowed) temporarily
During this time the unit becomes invulnerable temporarily.
After (Level x 2 seconds) the unit is released.

Wallop

Targeting - Single Unit

Hits target unit with such force, it flys backwards, NOT sliding but flying at an arc.
When the unit lands, it slides back slightly smashing any units on contact out of it way.

It takes damage + units hit on landing/sliding also take damage.

A nice ultimate spell could be something like:

Betrayal from Within

make 4 illusions of target enemy unit, that does half as much damage as that unit and takes double the damage. the illusions instantly focuses their attacks on their former self, and lasts a limited duration.

Well ive already got a hero following them lines :)
his spells are already done but ill post em anyways.

Mystic

Domino
Creates X number of illusions of self.
Wenever Hero is attacked randomly switches Heroes position with a random illusion.

This is mainly a protection spell, making it difficult of foes to kill him.

Sway Of Illusion
Creates X number of illusions, of each nearby allied unit.

This spell helps overwhelming an enemy force as well as well protecting your allies.

Persuasion
BUFF - temporarily takes control of target enemy unit.
The cooldown/duration will roughly be set so you can control max
(level x 1) units at a time.

Confusion (Hero Ultimate)
BUFF - Causes target unit to attack a nearby random enemy unit.
The unit returns to normal but the buff is transfered, causing attacked unit to repeat the process.

A great spell if you're about to get ganked by a group of enemy heroes,
