Beginner Map-making Ideas?

So, the first project I attempted put me in a wee bit over my head.

I have a few creative trigger ideas that Im pretty sure I can pull off, I just need a map to put them on. So, do any of you have an idea for a simple, hero-based, one player RPG that I could make? Just to help me learn.

you could make a legend of zelda rpg game

jsut keep it simple..make a map that can get the player involved in a series of things..as a begginner maybe make a map about a man whos 'new to the world' whos on a mission to save his wife...and just make it run along some simple paths..dont know if i was to helpful though..

or maybe just a simple RPG game.

try to think of your favorite/ one of your games and try to remake them in Warcraft.

Hmm.. U could like do an Elemental Rpg where the elementals who lost their tradition of connection with nature and peace try to rekindle their connection b4 all is lost. ^^
