alright, i have been enlightened by the wonders of starcraft once again!

once i get my comp back, ill start working on this new idea... i shall reveal the idea right now.... just give me a couple more lines and all get to it.. yesss

Idea name: Black holes
Type of game: Ummm... Katamari? closest thing to it!
Tile set: Blank
Features:

Black Hole generator: Sucks up random things (mostly asteroids and other random things)

BHvBH: black hole vs black hole! pit your black hole agenst another players black hole! whoever wins absorbs the other players black hole! <yep, a pun off of pvp>

Assimilation o_O: The black hole will start out with things inside of it, the things inside of it in turn will attack <everything is ranged, but the ranges will vary> When you kill another thing, that thing will be revived under your control, and become part of your black hole

The game will start small, and as players get bigger, their hole will get bigger and the camera will zoom out, then the game will spawn bigger objects for you to suck up

If your black hole is assimilated you loose <obviously -_->


This project is a mini project I'm shoving because im getting bored with my other project atm

sounds fun :) i think it can be a minigame :) for like Uther's Party or somthing new like: Jaina's Games

katamari, a game where you basically roll things up, start from small things like candy and toys, all the way to land masses and countries around the world

altho i would like to start on this project right away, i currently do not have a computer that can support WcII TFT at the moment.

i might change it so that it takes place on an island or something, something mor warcraft... but its all the same idea ^_^

What would the players do to affect the blackhole? From the description so far all i can imagine is a big black hole that kills and grows and kills and grows. Will players designate targets? Pick attack types?

The general idea with the grow black hole sounds cool though, i'd love to try it.

umm... thats basically it.. kill to grow

The game in a nutshell

Black Hole -> kill -> unit killed becomes a part of the black hole -> killed unit now attacks other units -> repeat from kill

so during the BH VS BH battles, whoever is winning in the battle will get a even bigger upperhand because the units the winner kills becomes a part of the black hole that belongs to the winner, in the end youll have a uber black hole, the whole game is speed, you dont need to think... its all speed

I guess what I meant to ask was other than sitting in front of the computer staring at the screen and watching their black hole grow what is the interactive part.

you controle the black hole directly, the traditional warcraft III movement system, the units you suck up moves with the black hole when you move it (they still attack if anything is near)

-_- my vendor got me a faulty hardrive for my main comp, its going back to the shop tomorrow (and I'm getting yet another one for free because of the warranty) XD

WHAHOO!!! my bros comming to visit tomarrow, ill be able to start production then!

And starcraft Gave me yet enother idea!! The basics of the starcraft map, you controle a corair, and you try to make the other corsairs fall into an abbys by destroying the ground via Disruption web!

My variant, you controle Tanks and you shoot rockets at the ground, the catch? Under the flooring there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING , if you move to that area you will fall to your doom! <or if your shot in> To keep things going, and to kill the afkers and campers, after each kill the play area will shrink!

This is going to be a DUBBLE MAP FEATURE!!! WOO HOO!

Not entiraly

Alright, since your compareing it to worms anyways... then immagin (from a side angle) the floor consists of ONE pixle, meaning any dent = you dead.
Now turn the camera so its a birds eye veiw, so the floor is one pixle thick and now its 3d with a X and Y like grid <the explosions will not be a perfect circle, it will be more like a .... well something like this

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
