blue screen of death

i have windows NT and when i play multy player stcraft broodwar i get a BSD randomly when in game.

i deleted that bnchache.dat file and played again and got a crash but it did not write a .err file. my game doesnt like freeze/crash it goes to the evil microsoft BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!!!!

i have the latest drivers for video/sound

ive also tried running the game from my cd and cdrw drives but still crashes...help?>..

can you goto the event viewer and paste and copy what the error is ?

um theres some on my sc cd and quite a few more on the bw cd

my first response would be that with the last patches bw/sc rely on DX8
NT4 would never support DX8
i am not sure coz i am not running BW on nt4
i do know that LOD XP uses dx 8
and NT4 will never support it
too bad that is why win2k is invented
if the new patch of BW requires 6 or 7 or 8 your fokked with nt4

yah i try to tell my dad that but he just sticks that fork in me haha

cus those cds work just fine on my pc that runs 95 (dont think it has dx8 installed tho) but that pc is sux0r slow

well i guess they should take NT off their compatible list then.

is what showed up there under the source 'Save Dump'

also when i reinstalled (before i did that crash above) i this in the event log:

The device, \Device\CdRom1, has a bad block.

when i installed it previously i got like 15 of those but this time only one (and from the SC cd)

didnt create an .err file again either
