I am trying to make an ability that makes the unit go into roots, uses the ability, then comes out of it. I am using the Ancient of Lore model to hopefully make the rooting look nice. I based the unit off of the Mountain King so that is would be a hero and I would have to change less.
Now then, I made the ability Roots (Ancients) into a hero ability. The effects are, when the ability is learned, the unit goes into the Night Elf building in construction animation. I still have control of my unit, and can up root. When up root is used, however, I cannot root again. Currently I have not made the triggers to activate the ability upon rooting due to this issue.
What I need help with is getting a unit to use the ability Root and go to the rooted version of an Ancient of Lore. I should be able to handle the rest on my own.
As well, so I don't have to make a new post, is there a way to make an abilities portrait just a black square? I can make it green, but i want black.
I've seen this in, I believe, a DOTA map. The unit using roots anyway. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
