can you help me with this idea?

i want to make a game, where the focus is to get $500,000
you start with $100
you are a crafty guy, you can build anything, put stuff together, an engineer.

now i dont know what im going to do to get money, but my ideas of the moment:
income(through certain buildings)
quest(doing stuff for the cpu)
being a blacksmith(buying items from different shops and then they go together which you can sell for a lot more than the items cost)

can you guys think of other ways?

that seems to basic to make with just that.

Owning a Tavern/Shop/Market Stall?

theres plenty of trading styles
maybe there could be some sort of monopoly, as in more than 1 player can trade a type of good, if you managed to corner the market, you can sell for more profits
hope that the trading system is intelligent, such that if you have a lot of stockpile, the ai will deliberately push down the prices, you reap EOS if you trade in bulk, less transporting time etc, but theres always drawbacks
then some sort of pass the bomb style, a actually worthless/not worth very much item is sold for very high, and gets higher, hence earn more when you sells, but it may suddenly drop price very much, like a bomb, hold for too long, it explodes
to expand the monopoly idea, make it such that you may dominate an entire production line, instead of cornering just cotton, corner from cotton>cloth>clothes
also make cotton useful besides just clothes, increase source of tension
add some randomness to everything, like natural disasters
or insidious methods, like making players able to spread rumours to damage others reputations
make bank loans available, mimick the real life economy as much as possible then, its plenty complex
