Changing buff's colour

I tried to make a tower which will sort of cause ice shards to shoot out of the ground and attack enemies. I used the "Impale Effect" but how do i change it's colour to blue?

If you dont mind an extra ~80kb of space I can reskin it for you. You cant tint an effect, only units and destructibles etc. Maybe with jass but I doubt it.

it is imposible to change the buffs color without using a tool, so what you have to do is...

1. Download WC3 Image Extractor
2. Extract the skin file to whereever you want to put (Abilities\Spells\Undead\Impale\ImpaleArm.blp)
3. Use Photoshop, ULead, etc. image editor
4. there are already selected areas around the skin, change the Red part into white...
5. Use the color part and change the total color into blue...

Umm right, you didnt have to go through all that. Anyways to upload the file when you post it has 'Additional Options' you can scroll down to 'Manage Attachments'.

I created a frosty version of the 'Impale' object below. Its actually only 6.8kb! And yes jessandsnoop you were right, that doesnt mean I was wrong I just didnt go into detail :p

To use this import the file below, change the path to "Abilities\Spells\Undead\Impale\ImpaleArm.blp", save the map and then go test it. If it didnt change close World Editor, and open again and try it again.

Forgive me for being dense, but i don't really get it...Could you explain in more detail?

In the editor press F12 to open import manager, look for the green arrow next to piece of paper that says "Import File", import the file I attached. Double click on it and check "Use custom path" then copy paste [highlight]Abilities\Spells\Undead\Impale\ImpaleArm.blp[/highlight] into it, hit OK. Now save the map and test it. Cast your "frozen impale" using the standard model etc.

    Looks like Google fixed whatever mistake that made the recipes on the site go crazy and we are no longer trending towards a recipe site lol - I don't care though because it motivated me to spend alot of time on the site improving it and at least now the content people are looking at is not stupid and embarrassing like it was when I first got back into this like 5 years ago.

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
