Could someone help me....

Hi guys,

I have a problem with 1 trigger im trying to sort it out since 2h and i cant :x

Im making a campaing, in mission you have 1 hero, he must live if enemy kill him you lose, as usual on SC BW missions.
Next you get few more troops + some buldings + 1 more hero.
Now the question is how to create a trigger eg:

Con:

Player X commands at most 0 hero1

Ac:

End scenario for current player.


I get second hero a bit later so if i create for him same trigger ill lose at start...

Does it is any way to 'active' this trigger a bit later or something like that ?
If anyone know please reply me here how to do this.

That is EXACTLY what a switch does :).
First you set the switch, lets say for the first switch you make a trigger like this to set it.

Condition:
Always
Action:
Set 'Switch 1'

Now that switch 1 is set, lets say you want Player 1 to lose when his Dragoon dies.

Condition:
'Switch 1' is set
Player 1 commands exactly 0 Dragoon
Action:
Set scenerio in defeat for current player

Now lets say you have a change of units. You now want Player 1 to lose when his Hydralisk dies. (I am not sure exactly what you are asking. When exactly will the second hero come? and do you want the player to lose when either hero dies, or will the second hero replace the first one? These questions will affect this next trigger. With this next trigger im going to just assume the second hero appears when a certain player brings his units to a location.)

Condition:
'Switch 1' is Set
Player brings atleast 1 any unit to location
Action:
Set 'Switch 2'

Now you are setting a switch saying that the Second Hero is now in the game and the next trigger will be to lose when that switch is set and the hero is not there..

Condition:
'Switch 2' is Set
Player commands exactly 0 Hydralisk
Action:
End scenerio in defeat for current Player.

I hope that helps you a little. If you give me a bit more specifics i can help you a bit more.

Ahh i just read over that and it doesn't even make much sense to me =/. Oh well, if you give me the specifics ill try and make a little more sense.

Well hehe probably its my bad english :)
Ok ill try explain.
As i said im making a campaing. Now im making second mission.
The group of Protoss back to Shakuras after Kerrigan defeated all enemies on Char platform.

You start with few troops and Danimoth.
Danimoth MUST survive.
When you walk trough and killing everything on your way, you get a massage that Danimoth feels his brothers energy.
He scan area and you see protoss base which have to be rescued.
You entered base (Base is on rescuable) and you get buldings and units. Then Zeratul comes. (Zeratul is created by trigger)

Now i need to make this trigger.
Its like new objectives,

New mission obj.

- Danimoth must survive
- Destroy all enemy bases

and after you rescue this base:

- Zeratul Must survive!

PS: I have no clue about switches, Im an old mapper but i never use it.. :)

Sorry about late response =/. Hope you didnt give up or anything.

You still didnt answer one of my questions. Lets say you got the new base and you got Zeratul. If then Danimoth dies do you want the player to lose?
Im gonna explain it as if Danimoth dies you still lose. This is basicly what i said in the first post.

Trigger 1..
Condition:
- Always
Action:
- Set 'Switch 1'

Trigger 2..
Condition:
- 'Switch 1' is set
- Player Commands Exactly 0 Danimoth
Action:
- Set Mission in Defeat for current player

Trigger 2..
Condition:
- 'Switch 1' is set
- Player Commands exactly 1 Zeratul
Action:
- Set 'Switch 2'

Trigger 3..
Condition:
- 'Switch 2' is set
- Player Commands Exactly 0 Zeratul
Action:
- Set Mission in Defeat for Current Player

That should do the trick =). If theres any other help you need post it and ill check in.

Your problem lies with your second hero. By making the same trigger for your second hero you are ending the game before you even start (which you already know). To solve this problem try this:

CONDITION
Player commands at least 1 'Second Hero'
ACTION
Set 'Switch'

CONDITION
Player commands at most 0 'Second Hero'
'Switch' is set
ACTION
End scenario in defeat for current player

Ya, its basically what ya said, but not exactly! I do know a few short cuts that do just the same thing.
Im not ensuing a competition here, just offering my ideas like the rest o ya.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
