Critical strike to buildings?

Is there any way to make critical strike ability work with building without using triggers?


I have tried a lot with "Stats-targets allowed" but nothing, any ideas?

I am having much deeper problem with crits on buildings.
Why is it ever possible this:
- crit is made as an item ability and it works on units and trees, but doesn't work on buildings (though it is allowed to target structures and the structures are checked to be targeted as structure) ;
- demolish doesn't work at all;
- if I uncheck "is a building" in the building stats, all works fine;
- I tried to give the crit/demolish abilities to a normal, unmodified unit, given it only hero inventory (a grunt) - doesn't work for it too;
- I tried to attack with the crit/demolish a normal, unmodified building - doesn't work.
Do you have any idea why is this happening?

In conclusion, the only way for me to make weapons crit on buildings is to actually make them not buildings (uncheck "is a building"), but then I have problems with items spawned by them - I need items to be spawned around the building, not in its animation, and units to be unable to walk through them. If there is a way this to be solved, I would accept it as a solution to the problem.

Edit: the game is made under WEU, but it shouldn't be that the problem.

Critical Strike cannot be set on Buildings. No matter what will you set in Object Editor. Demolish works but ain't got the floating message like critical strike. Try it by setting 100% chage for 100x damage and you'll see that it DOES work ;) If you'd implement a damage count system and add a floating text everything would be fine.

For me demolish doesn't work...
Screw the floating text. I already gave an item the demolish skill on 100% chance, damage multiplier x10, all other stats are default. Tested it as item skill and as default - hero non-item skill. Never working. As unit attacks, I watch target health and it takes only the normal damage.

But! Urgh!
I made another test with another item and it works.
The problem is, that my test item has as another ability a passive orb skill to enable bearer's secondary attack, allowing him to attack trees. For some reason when having both skills, the demolish skill doesn't work for the secondary attack enabled by the cut tree skill.

I've had same problem some time ago on my map. I solved not by adding demolish but by triggering damage and adding floating text. ;)

Players discovered how to exploit the trigger by attacking and pressing repeatedly S (for stop command), so the unit doesn't attack, but the trigger does many times faster than the unit could.

Now experimenting with Demolish. I hope it'll work fine. If only I could make it work for the secondary attack too...

That is a good point, but on my map you're quite prefer to keep attacking with normal damage and hoping for critical than just spam S for better good, especially on Vampirism map, where towers will make you to switch target, and the misuse is lost ;)

I found how to fix it!

Abilities targets overlap:
- the Critical should target units and trees;
- the Demolish should target structures;
- the orb effect enabling attack 2 ("cut tree") should NOT target structures;
- attack 2 of the unit should target all - units, structures and trees.

So is it possible for one item (axe) to deal basic damage, increased by crit mechanism, to units, structures and trees.
