Custom Trees

So I found a model (here) for my map im making, and i wanted to use it as a tree in my game. Whenever i change the model for my village trees you get that green and black checkered box that i hate. The model comes with a stand, birth, hit, and death animation so its perfect to be used as a conventional war3 tree.

Also on that page it says "Trees are always good, escpecially for terrainers. Even better when they actually ahve the Tree animations. There is a way to make these act like the normal trees in wc3, but thats a bit complicated and requires three different models. For now, approved."

What does this person mean by this? I dont care about the process, I'll do anything. I just realllly want functioning custom trees in my game.

P.S, i know the model is functioning properly because i turned it into a unit and it works. I restarted world edit several times with no changes.

Just encase anyone has the same problem, i solved it thanks to cavman on the Hive Workshop. I havn't tried it out yet (ill let you know what i have) but i just it works. Here what he told me:

"Unless your a modeler, this is gonna be quite hard.

The Ingame harvestable trees actually have three seperate models. Tree, TreeD, and TreeS. One of them is the tree with all it's animations, Stand, Stand Hit, Death and Birth. The other two only ahve one animation, stand, each, but one is of the tree while it's "alive", and the other is the tree as a stump. D stands for Dead, S stnads for Stand. Basicaly, you ahve to make and import three times as many tree models. Example:
Tree.mdx
Tree2.mdx
Tree2D.mdx
Tree3D.mdx
Tree3.mdx
Tree3D.mdx
Tree3S.mdx
TreeD.mdx
TreeS.mdx

And then, after you've imported your trees, you ahve to assign them to a doodad. Best bet to to copy a tree in Object editor then change the model, but you can't just change it to "Tree.mdx" and hope it works. You have to set it to "Tree.mdl" then change the number of variations to the number of trees you imported divided by three. So, you imported 9 models, including Ds and Ss, then you would set the variation to 3."
