Hey All, I'm giving Map Making a shot, and I'm thinking about a some sort of Puzzle Game. I need your feedback and suggestions
Death Note
Players:
Maximum Number of Human Players: 12 => Humans
Units:
At Most 12 Human-Controlled Units => Playing Humans
1 Neutral Computer-Controlled Unit=> Shinigami
Other Wandering Neutral Units => NPC Humans
Some Neutral Hostile Units => Criminals
Gameplay:
Part 1 (Beginning):
Each Player Will Be Given a Random Name upon starting. Stored in Variables.
Some Few Neutral Units will be carrying an item called an "ID".
Players start out randomly scattered around the map, unable to see each other. After a 10 Second Initialization Period. The Shinigami will have dropped his Death Note. A sound effect will play (a laugh or something) and it will notify the players that the Death Note has touched Human ground.
Part 2 (Searching for the Note):
Players will then be given 1 minute to find the Death Note within the map, at the same time avoiding certain dangers such as hostile units (Criminals).
Part 3a (No One Finds the Death Note):
If no player will be able to find the Death Note before time runs out. The Shinigami will be able to find the Death Note and start writing down the names of random units (NPCs and Players), in a 10 second interval. Any unit who's name is written in the Death Note will die after 40 seconds, through a random death. After 10 random deaths, the Shinigami will end up dropping the note again and it's back to searching for it.
Part 3b (Someone Finds the Death Note):
Once a player picks up the note, the Shinigami will appear infront of the player who picked it up, and will now be able to see the Shinigami permanently, unlike the rest. The player who has the note will now be able to kill units by simply typing their full name. 40 seconds after typing the name, the unit will die a random death. If the player with the note kills all the other players, he will be victorious.
Part 4 (The holder of the note dies):
If the holder of the death note is killed, the Death Note is visible on the ground for 10 seconds for any other player to pick it up before the Shinigami picks it up and it goes back to killing random people, etc.
The game is finished when:
All the player-controlled units are dead.
The holder of the Death Note kills all the other living player-controlled units.
