Disconnect from a different version of a map I've been editing?

I've been automatically disconnected from someone else's version of a map I've been messing around with in the editor. They don't share the same triggers anymore, but they may have some of the same imports like models and skins. What might I have done that would make that happen? Could it be caused by something with overwriting a skin?
