Edit Starting Units?

Hi, I used the search tool and couldn't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I'm making a custom multiplayer game where the Humans are replaced by a Highelf race that I've created. The wall that I'm up against right now is that I don't know how to edit the automatically spawning units at the beginning of the game.

Is there a way to change what building/units/number of units that I start with in a slightly modified multiplayer game? For instance, if I want to start out with an Observatory, one wisp and one High Elf worker - but I want normal random Undead, Orcs, and Nightelves to spawn in the other start locations?

Is it possible to edit those starting units? How? Thanks in advance :)

I'm assuming you still have most of the melee actions in the Map Initialization trigger. Yes, you can change the amout of units that spawn, however you will need to do this in either GUI or JASS. If you are unfamiliar with GUI or Jass we have some classrooms avaliable that you can sign up for in the WE Help Forums.

Basically...

That would work I guess... There is no way to just change the default units and buildings that Humans start with?

How do I get the triggers to say...

*Spawn all opponents starting units normally.
*Spawn an Observatory at my starting point
*Spawn one High Elf worker and one Wisp at my starting point.

?

Well, you can have this condition:

(Race of Player 1(Red)) Equal to Human

to that trigger.

I think that'd work.

If you want only the player that chooses human can have your unit, then I think along with that condition, you add this condition:

(Playr 1(Red) controller) Equal to User

and copy that for Blue, Green and such.

Is "Center of Playable Map Area" my starting point, or will they have to run to me? How do I get it to remove my default starting units?

my first help ever ^^

remove the melee game trigger for starting units

(melee game - create starting units for all players)

and make this trigger for it:
(made screenie whas easier for me then to type the whole thing :p dont know how you people can do it that good XD like screenies better :p)

only normal players get your units now, computer still get human units, if there human the race) offcourse...

made 1 lil mistake XD

add this instead of the humans, since you now get 2 starting units...

Code:
if (all conditions are true) then do (then action) elso do (else action)
[B]if - condition[/B]
- (race of (picked player)) equal to human
- ((picked player) controller) equal to computer 
[B]then - action[/B]
- unit - create 1 Town hall for (picked player) at ((picked players) start location) facing default building degrees
- unit - create 5 Peasants for (picked player) at ((picked players) start location) facing default building degrees
[B]else action[/B]
- do nothing

By 'copy that', I mean make a seperate trigger for each color.

But use his, he seems to be better than mine.

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
