Hello all,
I have an idea which i believe could be a really cool unit model for a simple map i am making, however i have never created or editted a warcraft model in my life.
I really want to experiment first with editing animations of pre-made warcraft models (specifically the wisp model)

I am curious as to what tools i will need to open the pre-existing wisp file and how to edit all the current animations it has. I also want to add attachment points such as head, hands and chest to the wisp.

Is this possible? And if so, how may i do it?

Thank you for your time!
+rep for any helpful posts.

As for the attachment points, probably the WC3 Model Editor (Magos) would do..
For the animations it would take advanced modeling which will include converting MDX to MDL and using Gmax (Never thought o doing so) but if you're talking about models the best place to ask for help is at the hive (hiveworkshop.com)
