errors starting d2 and applying 109 patch

when i try to install the 109 patch or even start d2 i get a blank screen then a box that pops up that says server error file read error data\global\font \monsterindicators.dc6
i have the latest vid drivers and when i do a vid test it says it is fine. please help running win2kpro

yes that is where i got my patch from and i have unistalled d2 several times and reinstalled it i have run mcafees several times system ok i have d2 installed on the other computer and it is running just fine. the kids want to play on the network and i just cant seem to get it up and running on this one thanks for the reply

My friend had that problem with diablo 2 when he first got it, I believe what it was he had so many programs on his comp that they didn't work with all the others on it. The parameters were incorrect, if you have lots of programs on your comp that could be a problem. Although he had to take his comp to a professional to fix it. Also how much RAM and memory left on your comp? If you don't have much RAM and you have quite a few programs it could also be that.
 
Can we get the specs on that computer OS/ CPU speed and type mother board Sound card video card memory, HD space, and virtual memory settings

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
