Essence of blight problem

I made a hero ability out of Essence of Blight. It costs 25 mana to use, but when I put my mouse over the ability, it says it costs 125 mana...does anybody know why it would do this?

Essence of Blight is not a very good idea for stable cost ability, as the mana cost depends on how much or how many units need healing...
Happens to the normal unit version too.

No, I never bothered to try to see the finer details...

Dang, that sucks. Are there any other abilities that can autocast and heal hit points?

If you want it to heal AoE, you can base the ability from Frenzy (lasts 0.01 sec and does nothing) and make a dummy unit cast the real Essence of Blight.

But that can be bad, because Frenzy is auto-casted only in battles.

Try setting the mana cost to 5?

Might work, although very hacky.

Couldnt u create a blank ability that does nothing and only cost 25 mana, then when u cast it, create a dummy unit, add essence of blight to the dummy and order it to cast?

hmmm yea cahnge it to 5mana.

btw what means #dummy unit#?
and can some1 explain or sent me a link where it is explained what it do thx:shades:

dummy unit is basicaly a unit that is not seen in game, and is created specifically for a specal effect, or to cast a skill... it is then removed
