For all you people who have played Runescape, most of you are probably familiar with the Fist of Guthix minigame. How many of you would enjoy a map that had similar rules?

For those of you who have not played Fist of Guthix, the rules are pretty simple: There are two people playing against each other: the Hunter, and the Hunted. The Hunter's goal is pretty straightforward: Kill the Hunted in as little time as possible. The Hunted is trying to gather as much "charge" as possible and evade the Hunter. The Hunted can gather charge by picking up a "Stone of Guthix" item. The Hunted can gather charge faster by being closer to the center of the arena, but is easier to find towards the middle. After either the hunted is killed or the time limit runs out, the players switch roles. Whoever has the most charge at the end is declared the winner.

I would also include features such as teleporting gates/items, healing items for the Hunted, ect.

Sounds nice. Maybe not Runescape based and sharing the same name, but the idea is simple. It'd need to be expanded on in a gameplay sense, but it would make for a nice game. Maybe having teams or doing rotations would be a good idea. :)

any amazingly good suggestions? i want to make the game more complex than the actual Fist of Guthix minigame, as it will need to keep players' attention for longer than 10 minutes.

I think that the tileset should be Outland, though.

but i dont really know that new minigame and i think a castle wars arena minigame can be better in w3

I'd go with Felwood, because it looks same as the Fist of Guthix in Runescape tileset, but I never played it before. I seen my brother played it before, and was awesome. XD

Idea: Make it for a maximum of 12 players and it goes like this... 1 is haunted by 2, which is haunted by 3, which is haunted by 4 ... 12, which is haunted by 1. Of course, not necesarilly like this, you can make it to be random or something, but the idea would be that, at the same time, the player is hunter and prey.

And btw haunted means harassed by ghosts... :rolleyes:.

^^ Interesting idea... i'll definitely think about that. I'll work on it as soon as i finish the other... 3 maps i'm currently working on...:rolleyes:

May I suggest if you are going to steal the idea (even though I think it'd probably work brilliantly well) you contact Jaggex first?

I mean, you are kind of ripping their copyright.

Anyway, good luck, seems like this could be quite fun, especially if you added abilities to the Hunter and Hunted.

quite frankly, i think as long as you dont make money off of someone's ideas, they have no right to sue you

so theres no need in asking permission, just credit them on your map for the original idea

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
