Fly Issues

I have a model that has animations while walking, and while flying; both attacking, going around, casting spells, etc; the question is, how do you make a system, so when you activate a spell called, i dont know, maybe "Fly", makes your unit use the Fly animations instead of the walking ones, for attacking, casting, etc, how do I make this? and whats the required system to properly make your unit Fly?

hoh animation used is walk.depend on the walk animation of that model.about flying you can adjust height.this is what i know,if anyone had better ideeas?

edit:if u use fly,foot,hover etc will not play different animations only walk..so its depend the animation on the model.:D

Use this trigger
Trigger:
  • Animation - Add the Alternate animation tag to (Casting unit)

Change the "Alternate" if te animation tag is something else

I think to completely transform the unit to a flying one you have to use metamorphosis, chaos or crow form.
Try metamorphosis in the same unit, except that the 'second' unit has movement type flying and a fly height.

@ultimate11 Well, the models animation was changed by me, so i have a walk animation (String: "walk"), and a Fly animation (String: "fly"), if i change height, that wouldnt change animation.

@Baldar i dont understand that alternate tag :/, what name should I give to the Flying animations to make it work?

@Executor mmm I would methamorphosis the unit into a second unit, equal to the first one but with flying movement, but what with the animation? he would just look like walking on the air, probably making a second model with the Fly Animation String changed to "walk" ? dunno...

First of all you should the animation you called "Fly" to "Stand Alternate".
Because I don't think wc3 detect animations called fly
Also, let me explain what animations tag are :
For exemple, the demon hunter's model and the demon hunter (metarmophosed) are the same but with different animation tag. I mean, normal Illidan has : Stand, walk, death, attack... While the metarphosis demon has Stand ALTERNATE, walk ALTERNATE, attack ALTERNATE... So, animations tags are a way to play another type of stand, walk... animations for the same models.
Here what you should do :
1) Name the "flying" animation to "Stand Alternate)
2) Import the model
3) Create a second unit based of the first one (the one's walking)
4) Change Height, Movement type etc... and set Art - Animation Tag (something like this) to Alternate
5) Make a Metamorphosis ability for the first unit that change it to the second
6) Make a Metamorphosis ability for the second unit that change it to the first
7) You're done...I think
I tried to be detailled as possible but my english ins't very good

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
