I just found a wonderful little program (fits on a floppy) to restore files even after the Recycle Bin has been cleared. (will not work if you've run a defrag since clearing out the Recycle Bin tho)

and is designed to work with all Microsoft operating systems.
(I've only tested it with NT4 and it *does* work for NTFS)
I would recommend testing this program before you actually need to use it.
