If you're using the default World Editor, then all functions are public, the jass2 compiler doesn't support encapsulation, the default compiler's syntax supports structured discipline, and lacks object oriented one. Actually, jass2 is event-driven scripting. wikipedia link

If you are a fan of object oriented programming then you could get NewGen, which features vJass, a jass compiler which implements OOP. You could also try ZINC or cJass.
