ok so i wanted to switch the HDD on two old computers.
computer A is a dell dimesion 4100
computer b is a dell dimension 4500s
what i want to do is use the HDD from the 4100 in the 4500s so i can have all the information and such.
problem is after i switched the HDD, computer B will not load with computer A's HDD.
it gets past the bios but getting into windows is the problem. i tried safe mode and with no success. every time i try safemode it show the drivers loading and it stops at AGP440.sys. now computer A had an AGP graphic card, so im thinking that its looking for it, but since its not there it reboots.
any information on how to get past this? I've tried everything i could think of. i think the main problem is that computer A can only use the agp card for video and has no onboard video. so any configurations i have tried and dont work.
any help or could it be another problem?

try booting off the windows install CD and then do the "repair windows"

I think the problem is it's trying to boot into the wrong hard drive, and then messing up due to having the wrong drivers

you could also try switching the sata cables to see if it boots up from the old one after that
