Help me pick parts for my new computer

I am going to build a new computer this summer and I was wondering if any of you had recommendations for parts. The budget is $2000.

I am most likely getting an i7 and the CoolerMaster Haf X for the case.

I agree with ghan's build for the most part, but here's what I would think twice about:

the hard drive - I like WD's more then samsungs, since WD's have 5 years of warranty over samsung's 3 for starters

the OS - I would just get home premium and then upgrade if you really want some of the features from pro/ulti

the CPU - while I don't have anything against it, it's $80 cheaper at microcenter

and personally I would want a nice after-market cooler for $30 ish or so, but that depends on your preference

also this is a cheaper dvd/cd reader/writer, I don't see any advantages to the other one
