Hero Arenas?

So, upon making my own Hero Arena I found how boring it actually was to play them. You get one hero, and you rarely get to level two unless your one of the imba hero usually modeled as Demon Hunter or the Blademaster. I do have other modes, but what ways can I make the original version funner or more advanced? Not just a 2 minute game where theres no room for hero development becuase you dont get to level 2. Thanks.

Umm you could always make the map as balanced as possible? I mean if there are no imba heroes, most people will have a chance of winning.
