Hero Skills: Three based on the same

Hello!

In my map I got three Attribute Bonus skills on a hero, each provide him with a different attribute. For the strength skill it works as it should, but for the agility and intelligence skills it doesn't. They get removed when I learn lvl 1 (I get them in my spell menu, but I can't upgrade them into higher lvls. And no, they don't have only 1 lvl. Another thing that might be of interest is that the hero doesn't originally have these spells, but they are added by Engineering Upgrade.

The problem is that you can't use the one and same ability for three different skills on one unit. A unit cannot function with duplicative abilities. Try basing the abilities of three different abilities, otherwise use the trigger action:
Trigger:
  • Hero - Modify (Attribute) of Hero: Add (Amount)

Alright, this is the deal:

My hero has three different abilitys, one adds Strength, one adds Agility and one adds Intelligence. They were all based on the Attribute Bonus spell, but I have now changed so that only one is based on Attribute Bonus and the other two are based on item abilitys that has been modified.

The problem is that when I learn the Intelligence or Agility spell, they are removed from the ''learn hero skill menu'', I can only upgrade Strength above lvl 1. I wonder how I can solve this problem?

Yeah, of course. I can still upgrade them through triggers, just not in the hero upgrade menu.

Then I recommend using triggers. It's likely still the same ability even though you use different item versions, and that's what causing the abilities to bug.

I can use triggers if there is a way to add Strength, not permanently but with the +1 besides the number of Strength I have. I know I can do this by adding a item spell that gives +1 Strength, but it didn't seem to work for me before.

Just use one attribute skill and two dummy skills, like Moon Glaive and Vorpal Blades.

I tried this, having 3 dummy abilitys and none of them worked. I'll give it another try though!

Well dunno if it's the solution you wanted but it gives you almost the same result.

Trigger:
  • Events
    • A unit learns a skill
    • Actions
    • If then else
    • if
    • learned skill equal to agility
    • then
    • add 1 agility to triggering unit
    • remove agility from triggering unit //this removes the skill from the unit so it can be relearned again
    • else
    • if
    • learned skill equal to intelligence
    • then
    • add 1 intelligence to triggering unit
    • remove intelligence from triggering unit
    • same for strenght

this just adds 1 permanent agi/int/str to the hero and you can just give the skill 2 levels (maybe works with only 1 dunno for sure though)

No, as I said before: I do not want to permenently add the stats, not under any circumstances.

im trying to make one bonus for you, but im having trouble levelling the actual ability when the hero upgrades the dummy spell, i cant find any event that checks if an ability is being upgraded:(
