Hosting Problems

k, my friend needs help hosting.
we went to www.portforward.com and followed the instructions, and it didnt work. So we came here, followed the directions in the stickied post, and it still doesn't work.

He uses belkin for his router.
He has firewall off, and the UDP/TCP is set to 6112-6119.
We quadruple-checked the information... it's all right, his ip address, everything that we know of.

Please help

Many people have extra security measures to protect their computer.

That is my guess, a firewall. BTW, you don't need to do both, only TCP..

Try opening the cmdprompt and doing the /ping test on him.

AKA, get his IP (the real one, have them open cmdprompt and type /ipconfig), and do /ping IP.

The first IP-Address = real address.
