I need heroes and items for my map

You know, one cool idea in such maps is a side-job called potion-making.In a shop, there are empty vials and jars, which you must fill with certain ingredients of your liking, and see the result (e.g fuse herb ingredient with green dust ingr. in the empty vial and voila! a recover potion)

Nice idea. Is it an optional quest where everyone can do it?

Hm... Why not you let everyone have sort of a secondary job? Like you get to choose between potion brewer, miner, blacksmith, etc, whereby everyone has the ability to make different items or do different things that benefits everyone. And you'll have to limit the number of people that takes a job (you wouldn't want them to spam miner, if he gets more gold for the whole team).

Just an idea. I hope that it will make the in game experience more fun & tactical, instead of confusing cause they have one extra job per person. If it is the latter, then just make side quests like such where everyone can do it, which is better in a sense that there are more chances to take a go at of trial & error (to make the potion that you want).

Gourry_G, you're not a native English speaker, are you? Your location says Mexico so I'm concluding that Spanish is your main language. Is this correct?

If you're not very good at English (this is purely based on your posts), I would suggest letting someone more skilled in the language look over your map as to make sure that there are no grammatical errors.

Truly, but as long as Gourry_G beta needs beta-testers and the map is beta-tested, typos should be fixed (remember though, that even native speakers can cause typos)

items: Voodoo Staff +5 int +15 mana +5 damage and chance to cast hex when attack (dummy unit spell...), Armor of Spikes +5 armor +5 str thorns aura, Sword of Undead +10 damage and chance to revive killed unit to your side, Armor of Unded +5 armor and vampiric aura, Bow of elven king +10 agi +10% attack speed, Elven Boots +5 agi +30% move speed, Armor of Frost +5 armor and when enemy attacks you it freezes (like frost armor :) ), Dwarven Heavy Armor +15 armor +5 str -15% move speed, Moon Spear +5 damage and +15 extra damge in night :p and peasant's hat +3 armor +15 health
do you need more items? :D

Very true. They are bound to happen.

Some cool items ideas up there. :) Let me start brainstorming again, now that my work is almost done.

Items

1. Ring of the Greedy Bandit
  • Grants extra 50% gold to creep kills.
  • Doubles the amount of gold earned from Hero kills.
  • The Bandit who owned the ring was a greedy man, even after death, he has a hunger for life & power. Every hour in the game, it leeches (20 x Level) HP & MP from the ring bearer.

2. Deathlord's Sceptre (is this do-able? even with JASS?)
  • Grants 5% chance of gaining 25% of enemy unit's max health after every kill.
  • Allows the summoning of creatures from death (150MP);
    • 40% Chance: Summons 4 Skeletons with 300HP & ~20 damage. Lasts 45 seconds.
    • 20% Chance: Summons 2 Fel Beasts with 500HP, 200MP, ~25 damage & the ability to Mana Burn (25MP/100MP)*. Lasts 45 seconds.
    • 20% Chance: Summons 2 Crypt Fiends with 420HP, ~28 damage (piercing, 400 range, attacks ground only) & the ability to Web. Lasts 45 seconds.
    • 10% Chance: Summons 1 Doom Guard with 800HP, 400MP, ~35 damage (chaos), the ability to Stomp (75MP) & cast Cripple (125MP). Lasts 30 seconds.
    • 5% Chance: Summons 1 Frost Wyrm (targetted as ground) with 1200HP, 500MP, ~42 damage (splash, magic), the ability to cast Frost Bolt, is unable to attack towers & is neutral hostile. Lasts 90 seconds.
    • 5% Chance: Summons 1 Shade with 50HP, is invisible & can... do nothing. Pointless summon. Lasts 60 seconds.
  • Cooldown of 200 seconds.
* - (Mana Cost/Burn Amount)
- All damage are normal, melee, unless stated.

3. Mosquito Case - introducing the enemy of the real world into WC3. :p
  • Releases 6 Mosquitoes (200MP), which goes around 600 Range, dealing 15 damage per hit & returning 50% damage to user for 20 seconds.
  • Mosquitoes has 5% chance of inflicting slow poison for 5 seconds.
  • Cooldown of 60 seconds.
- Change name to Orb of Avenging Souls & Mosquitoes to Souls.
(Yes, I'm being attacked by mosquitoes...)

4. Runic Armor
  • Grants +15 armor; which reduces by -0.5 every hour away from base until +5 armor.
  • Recharges immediately when you step into base.
  • Has a 5% chance of cancelling any attack (except for Ultimates).
  • Grants a 5% chance of auto-casting Holy Affliction (Shadowstrike - 100 initial damage, 25 subsequent x3, 10% slow) to attacking enemy unit. Cooldown of 8 seconds.

5. Armor of the Deathlord
Fusion: Runic Armor + Deathlord's Sceptre
  • Has a 25% chance of stopping a deathblow (except from Ultimates)
  • Allows summoning of 1 Frost Wyrm (owned by you, still targetted as Ground), with 750HP, 250MP, 35 Magic damage, 600 Range, can cast Frost Bolt, resistant to dispel & lasts for 60 seconds. (250MP)
  • Cooldown of 120 seconds.
  • Grants +10 Armor.
  • Allows a 15% chance of auto-casting Death Grip (same as above, but unit spawns 1 Skeletal Minion (20 seconds) upon death, curse lasts for 30 seconds). Cooldown of 5 seconds.
  • Grants 150% increased HP regeneration rate at night.

6. Helmet of the Saints
  • Allows casting of Holy Forgiveness (200MP), which restores a single unit's HP by 50% MaxHP & cures all status ailments (except from Ulti).
  • Cooldown of 200 seconds.

7. Kanshou & Byakuya
  • Grants 15% increases attack speed.
  • Grants +5 Agility.
  • Has a 10% chance of directing damage received to nearby friendly creep.

Are they make-able?

THE OTHER QUESTIONS: i will think about that items idea, and i would like if anybody can help me with the story board.

I am mexican and i dont talk english that good so thats why i want you to be the tester after i finish it, i hope you can

Every think of a crest item? Here's my examples that I put in the map I'm making:

Crests:

Diablo's Crest:
+500 Hit Points

-3 Armor

These two crests must have a high cost and you may customize the downsides if you want: (It's better if you put both in so people don't complain because there is only one for a specific class.)

Thanatos' Crest:
+2500 Hit Points
+245 Damage
-15 Armor
-600 Mana

Hypnos' Crest
+2500 Mana
+260 Armor
-600 Hit Points
-60 Damage

Archimonde's Crest:
+1250 Mana
+65 Int.
+45 Agi.

Corruption Bonus (-10 armor upon striking)

Vanadalar's Bane:
+120 Damage
+30 Str.
+3 HP regen.

Volcular's Shredder
+70 Damage
+9 Str.
+9% to do 2.2x Damage

Mithril Sabotager
+80 Damage to Fortified
+7% Atk Speed

Omega Crusher
+35 Damage
+45% Atk Speed
+3 Agi.

Ultima Destroyer:
+180 Damage
+50% Bash (+70 Damage, Stun for 3 sec.)
+40% to do 5x the Damage
+30% Atk Speed

I also got a few great artifact armor that must be at a high cost!!! ( Or anything that you think that would be definatelly recommended)

Omega Defender:
+250 Armor
+1300 Hit Points
+Endurance Aura (40% Move, 20 Atk Speed)
+100 Agi.

Ultima Defender:
+245 Armor
+1000 Mana
+Brilliance Aura (+5.15 Mana Regen.)

Oh I forgot, here's an item to replace to fill up the hit point and mana needs but replaces the armor bonus but Thorns supports the non-use of armor:

God's Robe: Requires: 4 Demi-God Armor and 1 God's Enchanted Armor
+7200 Life and Mana
+50% to ignore 1250 damage
+Thorns III (550% damage returned)

Changes:
-Reduced Life and Mana bonuses by 300.
-Reduced the chance of blocking by 30% and damage ignored by 250.
-Reduced Thorns III by 450% damage returned.

Well, here they are: Brilliance Aura, Blizzard, Rain of Fire, and Massive Teleport (Teleports all units, including Heroes and allies).

Are you crazy?! That would mean you would almost never take damage and anyone that attacks you would instantly die. :rolleyes: Honestly, do you know anything about balance?

And you just posted like 5 times in a row on the exact same subject. Condense it all into ONE post next time.

Thanks. Anyway if you see the "EDIT" category, it means I added a few items or added "recipe item" to my previous posts. Well, I still got a few more so I will add a few of them or as much as I can think of. :) I still can't find a way to add rep. to other people. I would have gave you rep grimtooth :) but I don't know how to give you it. :(

Teleports all nearby allied units and heroes. Teleports up to 27 units.

Skills for Destroyer:

Mana Burn:
You know what it does

Life Burn:
Summons a wave of destructive energy that burns life, dealing damage to the unit depending on how many hit points burned.
Level 1:
Burns 75 Hit Points
Level 2:
Burns 150 Hit Points
Level 3:
Burns 225 Hit Points

Rage: (Can be an aura)
Increases the attack speed and movement speed of the Destroyer.
Level 1:
2% Movement and 5% Attack Speed
Level 2:
7% Movement and 10% Attack Speed
Level 3:
12% Movement and 15% Attack Speed

Destructive Gateway: Cost 350 Mana
Creates a Gateway of Destruction. The Gateway can attack an enemy at a range of 950. Has 5000 hit points and 82-120 damage. Immoble.

Skills for Hybrid:

Immortal Blood: Cost 15 Mana, increases by 15 every level
Much like Divine Shield.
Level 1:
Invulnerable for 8 seconds. Cooldown is 25 seconds
Level 2:
Invulnerable for 16 seconds. Cooldown is 33 seconds
Level 3:
Invulnerable for 32 seconds. Cooldown is 49 seconds

Biological Synthesis: (Can be an aura)
Allows the Hybrid to regenerate wounds at a faster rate.
Level 1:
2.1 hit point regen.
Level 2:
3.5 hit point regen.
Level 3:
4.9 hit point regen.

Berserker Rage:
Increases the stats of the Hybrid.
Level 1:
+7 to all stats
Level 2:
+14 to all stats
Level 3:
+28 to all stats

Hybrid Form: Cost 300 Mana
Transforms the Hybrid into a destructive beast which can cause destruction to all. Gives 35 damage, Chaos attacks, 625 bonus hit points, and 10 bonus armor. Model form can be a Dragon model.

Skills for Timewalker:

Timewarp: Cost: 175 Mana, increases 50 mana every level
Causes the target unit's brain to go too much into the future, thus causing extreme severe brain damage to the unit.

Level 1:
Does 200 damage and stuns the unit for 6 seconds. Cooldown is 12 seconds
Level 2:
Does 250 damage and stuns the unit for 9 seconds. Cooldown is 15 seconds
Level 3:
Does 300 damage and stuns the unit for 12 seconds. Cooldown is 18 seconds

Slow: Cost 75 mana, reduces 10 every level
Makes the unit see the caster and allied units seen faster.

Level 1:
Slows the unit by 25% and atacks 40% slower
Level 2:
Slows the unit by 35% and attacks 60% slower
Level 3:
Slows the unit by 45% and attacks 80% slower

Blink:
You know what it does

Time Gate: Cost 250 mana
Creates a gate which automatically warps in units from the different dimension or from the future. Creates: Marines and Zerglings (Maybe Hydralisks too.) Cooldown is 180 seconds. Much like Archimonde's Dark Portal.
Creates 14 different units that are Marines, Zerglings, or Hydralisks.
